The BioBusiness Summer School is a three-day online course for academics who are contemplating a career switch to industry and young professionals in their first industry jobs. This course will help you to kickstart your business career in the European Life Sciences industry. During the three-day program you will learn basic knowledge of main business topics, such as product development, business models and venture capital. You will also gain insight in the world of Life Sciences companies, meet leading business people, get advice on career development and expand your international network.
BCFjobs launches a new series of online recruitment events. The first edition focuses on mbo- and hbo'ers for lab positions and is planned from 2-4 March 2021. During the first day of this online recruitment event, candidates will be able to attend company presentations, ask general questions and view vacancies. On day 2 & 3, the candidates will have personal calls with employers via the 1-on-1 job dating.
Since your career in academia is at nearly every stage, largely determined by how successful you are in obtaining funding, writing sucessful grant applications is a vital skill to learn. This online course is aimed at PhD students, postdocs, and starting group leaders. It covers aspects such as identifying the right funding opportunities, evaluating suitable topics for a successful grant proposal, writing an winning grant summary, along with tips and pointers on how to make your application successful. Speakers will include amongst others, seasoned professors with multi-million dollar grants, grant application experts who have reviewed hundreds of grants, professionals from funding bodies such as NWO, and experience stories from similar-stage researchers.
The Career Orientation & Enhancement (CORE) online trainings are dedicated to Master, PhDs and postdocs wondering about the different opportunities on the job market and unsure about whether to pursue a career in or outside academia. The trainings aim at giving them an overview of the Benelux Life Sciences sector as well as determine their profile (strengths, weaknesses, aspirations and motivations) to find career paths and job positions matching their interests.

Talent Accelerator Programme for BioBusiness (TAP BioBusiness) is an intensive training programme of eight months in which biobusiness professionals can learn in a group of peers from experienced executives, experts and each other by means of inspiring experience stories, training, coaching and consultative sessions. You will be assigned a personal mentor and have access to the five thematic modules of the programme. These will cover a.o. topics such as negotiation, finance, IP, contracts, communication, company strategy.
