PhD, Research Project Assistant, Euroseeds & 'Plants for the Future' - European Technology Platform
I assess perception and develop effective communication strategies to build societal support for implementing plant-based innovations in agriculture. I am passionate to facilitate open dialogues on the latest technological advancements in plant sciences and I contribute to the policy environment through consultation, education, and discussion. My key objective is to help society gaining access to the latest technological innovations. I used genome editing during my PhD to study lateral root development (VIB-UGent Center for Plant systems Biology). Moreover, I have experience in regulatory aspects & intellectual property related to plant biotechnology as well as in lecturing plant biology and in organizing science communication & outreach activities.
