Martina Stella

PhD student, UMC Utrecht

Martina Stella is a PhD candidate and PhDs representative at the UMC in Utrecht, where she has been living since 2018. Originally from Italy, she pursued her MSc in biomedical engineering in Milan. Her current research focuses on medical images processing to improve liver cancer treatment planning. From her humanistic background, she kept her passion for writing. As BCF contributor, she would like to employ this passion to share her experience as PhD, expat, and young scientist figuring out the next steps for a career in life science. When she is not busy in these activities she loves climbing and joining a book-club.
