Bayer is a global Life Sciences company specialised in the health of man, animal and plant.
The divisions Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, Crop Science and the business Unit Animal Health have a strong presence in the Benelux.
The Benelux is a strategically important region for Bayer, for instance as the location for several international research centres. In Ghent (Zwijnaarde/Astene), we have a global R&D centre for plant biotechnology. In Nunhem, we have the global centre for vegetable breeding. In addition, the European head office for the business unit Radiology is located in Maastricht.
