Founded in 1999, Galapagos started as an R&D-driven biotech startup. In 2 decades, they built their expertise in research and discovery of medicines, resulting in the launch of their first medicine on the market in 2020.
In 2022, with the ‘Forward, Faster’ strategy, CEO Paul Stoffels set out a new course for the Make-It-Happeners at Galapagos. Their focus on inflammation broadened to immunology and oncology, and by combining internal and external innovation, they added new capabilities, technologies and product candidates to their portfolio.
