Operations Manager Analytical Instruments

Job

As an Operations Manager you will manage all production processes related to chromatography instruments, such as GC and HPLC . In this position you will work closely with other departments in the company, such as R&D, Finance and Service, to achieve goals and targets. Are you a candidate with excellent management skills? As an Operation Manager you will be an important member of the management team and will oversee and manage the SCION Instruments factory in Goes. Apart from that, your main task will be:

  • Assists senior management in setting goals that promote company growth
  • Oversees daily activity of the different departmentsPrepares budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed
  • Provides advice and guidance to other employees
  • Manages team workloads to meet goals and deadlines
  • Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Improves existing systems and policies
  • Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace
  • Manages stock and inventory
  • Oversees manufacturing functions
  • Works closely with other departments to promote efficient factory optimisation
  • Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness
  • Sets team and individual goals

Profile

For this position we are looking for enthusiastic candidates whit excellent management skills. We invite you to apply if you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Analytical Chemistry
  • Knowledge about Chromatography, preferably Gas Chromatography or HPLC
  • Previous experience in a (operations) management role ia a must
  • Great management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • People oriented and approachable

Benefits

  • Long term position, which starts with a one year contract at the hiring company
  • Salary indication up to € 6000,- gross per month based on a full-time position
  • Full-time position (40 hours/week)
  • Dayshift
