Genmab is focused on the creation and development of innovative and differentiated antibody products, with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.

The role

As our new ORM Manager you will be part of the Antibody Research Materials department. This vacancy is part of the ARM Operations team.

You will be the interface between what's going on in the labs and the enabling teams (HR, IT, facilities, lab operations, ...).

Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Associate Director, Operations & Resource Management Antibody Research Materials, and in close collaboration with experts in the business line, you contribute to the development of a work force that perfectly matches the business needs and to the creation of optimal conditions for our expert teams. Together you oversee plans, processes, and skills of the different expertise areas in the department.

You assist the Associate Director ORM in the activities that he/she is responsible for. Aside from this, the role comprises the following activities:

HR Related

  • You assist in the recruitment process and take the lead in the administration related to this (prepare overviews and ensure that the list is up-to-date).

  • You are responsible for coordination of the start and onboarding of new employees

  • You coordinate and oversee the organization of departmental meetings, including social events, and you assist in organizing retreats

Lab Operations

  • You are responsible for connecting the operational side of lab management, both within your department but also across departments

  • You oversee the implementation of operational processes and ensure a smooth operation of the labs in the department (i.e., safety, training, etc.)

  • You support the organization of the local Safe, Sound and Sustainability week.

Quality Compliance

  • You take the lead in monitoring the compliance of the ARM teams with regards to the monitoring ELN backlogs, SOP updates, GxP required trainings and of BOPs.

Other

  • You assist in ensuring the delivery of business analytics related to finance, HR, laboratory operations, contracts etc.

  • You contribute to enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and quality of the operational processes and initiate improvements

  • You are responsible for a diverse set of operational tasks, including assisting with the budget, planning process and performance management

  • You participate in projects related to development of organizational processes.

  • You are the sparring partner and primary ORM contact person for all the Research Associates in the Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years of experience within a lab environment

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of business processes in the biotech sector

  • Proven experience of successfully coordinating the organization of activities – from idea/proposal to execution.

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and with tight timelines

  • Ability to be proactive, enthusiastic and result orientated

  • A team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills - both oral and written - and both English and Dutch. English is our corporate language, and all written materials are produced in English

  • Good people skills, you look for opportunities to bring people from diverse backgrounds together and can sense other people’s feelings.

  • You enjoy learning new things and want to continuously improve.

  • You are organized, work in a structured manner and have high attention to detail and follows through on tasks, proactively addressing issues and concerns.
