Our client is an international food company, constantly looking for opportunities to develop new technologies. To contribute to this goal, for R&D International, we are looking for an enthusiastic R&D Pilot Plant Technologist, who shares their passion for a more sustainable future.

What will you do?
Working for the R&D department, you will bring new technologies to life! You will drive Pilot Plant facilities by supporting R&D Product and Process developers during trials. You ensure the readiness of Pilot plant facilities and support HACCP validation of pilots.
In this role you will work with a diverse team of both young and experienced experts, varying from our internal food technologists to partnering with Process Engineers in the business, creating new products, design and build new process lines and find cost saving opportunities.

Profile

We are searching for a candidate with a Bachelor or Master Degree in relevant area like Process Food Technology. Also some experience in working in a pilot plant in a food company is preferred.
Knowledge:

• Functional understanding of (food) technology including foundational science, ingredient functionality and microbiology
• Functional understanding of (food) process technology including mass balances, heat transfer calculations and flow diagrams/P&IDs
• Understanding of product preservation including pasteurization, sterilization and thermal validation
• Understanding of data analysis
• Understanding of quality and food safety standards including hygienic design, HACCP and GMP.
• Language Knowledge: Fluent in English
