Research Chemist

Job

You develop new synthetic processes or you improve existing ones for the production of intermediate or end products for the pharmaceutical industry. You do so in close collaboration with R&D experts of our customer base.

  • You participate in the development of new technologies.

  • You assess critical parameters and look for alternatives. You work on analyses and write clear and comprehensive reports.

  • You monitor scale up campaigns.

  • You are the first contact person in case of chemical or technical problems within the R&D laboratory.

  • You manage your time efficiently between laboratory work and administrative tasks.

  • You participate actively in R&D-projects.

  • You respect safety regulations and you follow ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’.

Profile

  • You possess a Master degree in chemistry, biochemistry engineering or other sciences with a specialisation in organic chemistry.
  • Prior professional experience is in a relevant environment is nice, but not a real must.

  • You have excellent communicative skills in Dutch and English – oral and written.

  • You know how to organise your work in an efficient and orderly manner.

  • You show engagement, motivation and ‘drive’ to your function and know how to prioritise diverse activities.

  • You are dynamic and flexible. You are a team player who willingly helps and coaches peers.

  • Knowledge and/or practical experience of Operational Excellence (Lean/Sigma) is considered as a competitive advantage.
