Dutch and English fluent are required.
As a Technical Consultant you will maintain and develop business with all customers in the Netherlands. You will do this by providing excellent clinical/technical support and education in collaboration with the sales force, in order to meet or exceed the targets and to enhance Medtronic’s reputation in the market. As the world leading company in Medical Devices, we are developing many innovative technologies. For this we collaborate with the world’s leading hospitals and surgeons, researchers, and partners to offer a broad range of innovative products and technologies that return patients to normal active lives more quickly. Our Dutch sales team builds strong and lasting business relationships with hospital staff, medical associations and opinion leaders, to achieve that goal. As a team member of the Dutch sales team you are responsible for technical support in the assigned Business Unit. You will work primarily in one assigned region of the Netherlands, but you are also expected to support the team in all the country if needed. In this position you will provide technical support to the medical team in the operational theatres for our total product portfolio (from your assigned product group). Beside intra operative support this will include set management and the responsibility to train and educate relevant hospital staff. You will also assist in identifying key decision makers, opinion leaders and referrals, extend existing accounts and develop entirely new ones. This challenge demands a cross-business attitude so our strategy can be fully implemented. In the field of Relationship Management, it will be your task to build strong and lasting relationships with the right specialists and and other relevant hospital staff. Maintaining and acquiring knowledge on new products, technologies, therapies and processes is demanded to perform this job.
Therapy Sales Specialist/ Sales Representative
We offer you a position where you present and sell our products and services to current and potential clients. This fulltime field Therapy Sales Specialist position is responsible for meeting or exceeding established program targets within a given geographical territory. We expect you to be able to learn and comprehend complex medical and scientific information, maximize client brand, achieve daily sales call activities and client deliverables by gaining access to decision makers and influencing product usage. You will be responsible for the sales of our market leading medical devices to assigned hospitals and related healthcare professionals. We are looking for an experienced professional who has a demonstrated ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects while establishing trusted partnerships with key staff at the hospitals, including Clinical and non-Clinical Stakeholders. Previous experience with DMU management is a must. This is a challenging but rewarding role, allowing you to define and execute your own sales strategies in order to meet the set targets.
You will be primarily responsible for selling the full range of products in assigned accounts or regions in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. You will build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage of our products and gain greater market share, leading through clinical selling. We expect you to cooperate and coordinate activities with Key Account Management team and the other divisions within Medtronic to maximize business opportunities.
It will be your job to meet (or preferably exceed) financial and non-financial targets in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market. In this commercial position you will fulfill several tasks in the field of sales management, ranging from market analyses and developing sales strategies to performing sales activities such as product introductions and support technical procedures when necessary. You will identify and address all key decision makers, opinion leaders and referrals, extend existing accounts and develop entirely new ones.
Building strong and lasting business relationships is another important task. Just as identifying and preparing upcoming tenders, market trends and competitor’s information. We expect you to act, make decisions, and contribute to achieving and exceeding of sales budget, implementation of sales plan and growing existing business as well as managing customer relations at all levels in your territory. You are able to effectively manage expense budget allocations as well as all consignment accounts. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to attend and facilitate congresses, workshops and any required marketing function. You will also enlarge client base in assigned territory and develop a business case for procedural growth.
We are looking for a hands-on individual with a commercial mindset. To be successful in this role very strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. You have proven to be results and quality oriented, integer, innovative and continuously learning. You can communicate persuasively, demonstrate product knowledge, display knowledge of key customers. In this role you contribute to building strong relationships and customer loyalty.
• Bachelor or master’s degree
• Fluent in Dutch and professional English level
• Located in the Netherlands
• You show strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in writing and speaking
• High motivation, enthusiastic attitude, being comfortable with change and growth
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, persuasive and analytical skills
• You demonstrate the ability to work on projects/duties, both independently as well as in a larger team
• Experience in commercial environment (for Therapy Sales Specialist and Sales Representative role)
• You dispose of the ability and willingness to teach and educate colleagues and customers
• Strong sense of responsibility, stress resistance and flexibility
• Sales/ Commercial driven, business minded and with an entrepreneurial spirit
• You are service-oriented team player concerned with helping people, both internally and externally
• Presentation and negotiation skills

• Knowledge of Dutch Hospitals/ Healthcare System
• Experience in medical devices/ pharma field
