(Senior) Research Associate, Cell Banking & Automation (R5475)

Within the Antibody Research Materials Department, Cell and Molecular Design Group at Genmab, we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic (Senior) Research Associate to provide tumor cell banks for the research groups to test these differentiated antibody products.

You will work within the team of Cell Banking & Transient Production. This team consists of two sub- teams, one is responsible for the development and production of tumor cell banks and the other one is responsible for the production of proteins through our transient cell line systems. In this role you will be responsible for the development and documentation of tumor cell banks for research purposes within the Cell Banking sub-team. Besides, you will also contribute to the development of automation systems with an interdisciplinary approach.
With your team you will produce tumor cell banks for research groups
With your up-to-date knowledge of and experience in different cell culture techniques you will culture small scale to large scale tumor cell banks
Contribute to the optimization and automation of tumor cell banking processes, scout for collaboration with interdisciplinary team within and outside the company
Establish good laboratory practices and maintain the high quality cell banking procedure
With your excellent documentation skills you will document your work and continuously asses good documentation processes
Continuously asses and improve current work flows and implement them in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
Review current SOPs and establish new SOPs regarding to the tumor cell banking process while using existing electronic documentation systems
Work cross functionally and contribute the documentation process of transient production sub team
This established position can fit you, if you have the knowledge and experience to fill the role of (Senior) Research Associate. You have relevant experience and are highly motivated to perform tumor cell banking and documentation. You are not hesitant to take initiative, enjoy working in a team and inspire others with your enthusiasm. Of course, you are interested in the latest developments in cell banking and protein production. More specifically, we ask for the following qualifications:
A completed Bachelors or MSc education in Biotechnology or Applied Sciences or related fields.
At least 2-3 years of work experience in a GLP/GMP environment with various cell culture techniques in either biotech, pharma companies or academic environments.
Have hands on mentality as this role requires actively working in the lab.
Have user/development experience in cell culture automation systems
Have user/development experience in ELN/LIMPs systems
Capable of working and maintaining a GLP laboratory.
Capable of organizing and prioritizing work.
Recognizing the importance of working according to the agreed research-based Quality System, which includes adhering to procedures and detailed documentation of your work.
Experience with electronic lab documentation systems.
