  • You work closely together with other scientists in IMCID, internal scientists/experts from other functional teams and external parties in project and expert teams on preclinical therapeutic antibody discovery.

  • You supervise one or more research associates and are responsible for the oversight, planning, timely execution and scientific reporting of 1-2 projects in parallel.

  • You contribute to the discovery of new antibody based product concepts by investigating the mechanism of action and activity of these antibodies in vitro and in vivo.

  • You contribute to the preclinical proof of concept of new antibody based products.

  • You carry out scientific evaluations to identify novel targets for therapeutic antibodies and to select suitable disease indications.

  • You will actively contribute to scientific publications and presentations and you will support patent applications, and the documentation critical to enter the next stages of product development.

Your professional profile

  • You are a PhD with a strong background in immunology and at least 5 years of post-doctoral research experience or relevant experience in industry, preferably within immune-mediated chronic inflammatory diseases/autoimmunity.

  • You have knowledge of antibodies and/or antibody biology and experience with immune modulation.

  • Experience with functional cellular assays using primary immune cells and associated immunological techniques is required.

  • Recognized scientific excellence as documented by references and external presentations.

  • You have a ‘getting things done’ mentality, are enthusiastic and goal oriented.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse group of scientists, research associates, to work with clear timelines, and to support senior management in product development strategy.

  • You pro-actively drive your projects and think along with other team members.

  • You set high-quality standards and keep an eye on ways to improve your work.

  • You welcome and use feedback as an opportunity to learn and grow.

  • You are business fluent in English and have excellent communicative skills.
