Lab Technician Food Technology (ref. 2420)

Vacature

• Accurately plan, prepare, and carry out enzyme biochemistry experiments in an independent fashion, involving for example enzyme activity assays using spectrophotometric methods and enzyme incubations in relevant food matrices. • Execute developed automation workflows using liquid and solid handling robots in an independent fashion. • Plan and conduct experiments based on technical hypotheses, analyze the collected data, and discuss with scientists and fellow lab technicians. • Enhance laboratory efficiency by automating workflows. • Present findings, draw conclusions, and recommend subsequent actions.

Profiel

• BSc or equivalent experience in (applied) Biochemistry, Biotechnology and/or Food Technology. • Experience with enzymes and affinity with down-scaled food applications. • Experience with automated workflows such as liquid handlers is a pro, a drive to quickly learn execution of lab automated workflows is a requirement. • >3 years of working experience in life sciences laboratory, within an R&D and/or innovation environment.
