Software engineer
As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting multidisciplinary projects within biotech and biopharma. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, maintaining and documenting solutions, taking into account the architectural guidelines and the client's needs in order to optimise the software application and to have it meet the predetermined standards. Additionally, you will assist in (further) developing existing or new pipelines, interfaces, apps, etc. Do you love working in a multidisciplinary team, using the newest technologies and are interested in the biotech, pharma and diagnostic sector? - You lead bio informatics oriented software projects.
- You support sales and pre-sales by joining meetings as an expert in the field.
- You drive innovation in the company from a software point of view.
- You look for opportunities to improve existing tools or workflows
- You are client facing: communication with the client is essential in our client intimate relations.
- You share responsibilities to keep the budget, timelines, hours allocated and worked under control, clear communication both internally and with the client in a timely manner.
Profiel
- You are customer driven and always looking for the best possible (software) solution for the client.
- You like to work collaboratively with clients as well as with internal teams.
- You have a business mindset: looking for opportunities as well as up and cross sells.
- You’ve designed and built multiple on prem and cloud native solutions. Starting at ideation up to CICD / DevOps driven automated deploys.
- You have an affinity for data centric solutions. You understand the concepts of data mesh, data warehousing, …
- You hold a master degree in Computer science (or equivalent by a proven track record.)
- A passion for technology and its application in the life sciences • You are able to manage your time and have a basic understanding of project management.
- Eager to learn, as a consultant you will need to answer to needs of the client, which means learning new skills is part of the job description
- Having front-end experience (react) is a nice plus.
- Knowledge or background in life sciences is considered an advantage
- Fluent in English
