Introduction
ChemConnection was founded in 2012 in Oss. It evolved from the legacy of Organon/MSD. At ChemConnection, we prepare (GMP) batches of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and nanomedicines for customers all over the world. My main responsibility as an associate scientist is doing research, my focus is on developing routes towards batches of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (small molecules) and their production. What I enjoy about my work is the rewarding experience when you obtain good results and successfully deliver a batch.

Can you tell a little bit about the application process you went through?
When I heard there was a position available, I called the company. The next day I sent my letter and résumé, after which I was invited for an interview. During the interview, I was offered the job.

What was challenging for you when you started in this position?
Since there are different goals, research performed in companies is different from that performed at university. I needed some time to adapt to this other kind of research.
