Roche Diagnostics has been based in Almere since 1963, has 160 employees and is market leader in in vitro diagnostics. We deliver a broad range of high quality and innovative diagnostics, that enable clinicians to make the best treatment decisions, scientists to find the answers to unmet medical needs, and payers and policy makers to make sure that rational decisions on healthcare spending can be made. The Pharmaceutical Division of Roche is active in the Netherlands since 1968 and is located in Woerden. The approximately 160 employees are exclusively engaged in marketing, sales, clinical trials (phase I to IV) and the registration and reimbursement of medication. In the Netherlands no production and R&D takes place. Over the years, the company has become one of the largest hospital companies in the country. Mannheim is, with over 8,000 employees from approximately 60 countries, the third largest Roche site worldwide and one of the group's most versatile sites.
