Preclinical Study Scientist
Biomedical Scientist, Pharmacist, or Similar for Preclinical Oncology Study

At Phos4nova, we are looking for a Preclinical Study Scientist who will lead the in vivo validation of Phos4MR tracers. This role is central to demonstrating the clinical potential of our technology in oncological models and later preparing the data packages required for clinical trials.
Job
Key Responsibilities:
● Design and execute and in vivo studies using wild type and disease animal models to validate Phos4MR agents.
● Perform comprehensive data analysis, including pharmacokinetics, distribution patterns, degradation profiles via MRI and NMR spectroscopy.
● Support formulation development and testing process.
● Carry out cellular uptake testing and histology.
● Collaborate with external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), CROs, and CDMOs to ensure study designs align with GLP standards and clinical trial readiness.

We offer an exciting position in a dynamic startup where you will play a key role in the development of innovative technology and grow as a biotech leader. The position is in collaboration with Radboudumc and the main job location will be in Nijmegen. The position is initially limited for 18 months (full or part-time) with a possibility to transition to a permanent position in a leadership role as Phos4nova grows and reaches the next product development stage. The earliest starting point is January 2027.
Profile
Requirements:
● MSc, PhD or similar degree in Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, or a related field.
● Extensive expertise in cancer biology and in vivo tumor models, specifically GI cancers tumors in the advanced metastatic disease stage.
● Knowledge about nanoparticle administration, biodistribution, targeting, and cell uptake.
● Knowledge about the pharmaceutical development process, with an understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical strategy planning.
● Experience with preclinical and clinical MRI scanners and imaging protocols is a plus.
