Technical Support Specialist

GenDx is looking for a knowledge-driven Technical Support Specialist to provide customers with support and education by means of clear communication.

Job

As a Technical Support Specialist at GenDx, you are committed to help im-prove the quality of life and survival of transplant patients by providing excellent support to customers. You have an extensive knowledge of molecular biology and techniques such as (quantitative real-time) PCR, DNA sequencing, and related analysis software. You combine strong analytic skills with excellent communication skills to provide customers with a timely and accurate solution. For this you will frequently consult and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Education, R&D, Quality control, Sales and Product Portfolio. Naturally, you are an enthusiastic and driven person, who enjoys to learn and explain challenging topics through clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve customers’ technical issues, questions and offer assistance as needed by means of email, online meetings and phone.
  • Communicate customer needs and questions within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales to showcase technical expertise.
  • Contribute to (online) educational events for our customers.
  • Represent GenDx in a positive and professional manner.
  • Document and handle all customer enquiries in CRM.
  • Work according to ISO 13485 standards.

Profile

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with immunological matters, especially the HLA gene family, is favorable.
  • Experience with (q)PCR and DNA sequencing is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player; you show initiative and know when to consult your colleagues.
  • Empathic towards with the customer (and the patient).
  • You are customer and patient oriented, representing GenDx professionally at all times.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • You currently live near Utrecht Science Park or are willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
  • Please note that you must be legally eligible to live and work in the Netherlands to be considered for this role.
