The Sustainability Customer Service Coordinator plays a key role in managing and streamlining sustainability related customer inquiries across the Group. Acting as the central coordination point, this role ensures that Business Units receive consistent, high-quality guidance when responding to customer requests on sustainability topics. The coordinator minimizes duplication of work, drives process efficiency, and fosters alignment across Group sustainability experts and business teams.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong organizational skills, a service mindset, and the ability to translate sustainability information into clear and reliable customer-facing responses.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for routing and coordinating Group level sustainability questions originating from Business Units and their customers;
  • Organize and support the creation of accurate, timely, and high-quality responses to both standard and complex sustainability inquiries;
  • Track, log, and report on process performance metrics to improve service quality and speed;
  • Collaborate closely with internal Group experts to gather the required input and ensure coherent responses;
  • Partner with Business Units to prioritize requests and help ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs);
  • Maintain and enhance a centralized repository of sustainability questions, answers, FAQs, and standard corporate sustainability statements;
  • Continuously review and refine responses to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with evolving sustainability standards and best practices;
  • Develop a strong understanding of key Group functions and their sustainability topics to answer common and public-facing inquiries more independently;
  • Coordinate regular touchpoints with internal stakeholders and sustainability experts to gather feedback and improve the request-handling process;
  • Provide transparency and updates to Business Units and Group management regarding the status and performance of sustainability customer service activities.

Profile

The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of sustainability and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) topics, with familiarity across relevant frameworks, reporting requirements, and corporate sustainability practices. You are skilled in managing and engaging stakeholders at different levels of an organization, building trust, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration. Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, while additional fluency in French, German, or Spanish is considered as an advantage. The role requires someone who is highly organized, able to coordinate multiple incoming requests at the same time, and capable of maintaining clarity and structure under pressure. Experience in customer-facing or customer service roles is beneficial, as is an understanding of sustainability data management, disclosure standards, and cross-functional project coordination.
